About me

Hello, I’m Abi (Dr Abi Adanijo), a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist offering trauma-informed, inclusive remote therapy for adults and young people facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship, psychosexual, and physical health challenges. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs and pace. Drawing on evidence-based approaches, I will support you in developing greater understanding, resilience, and a stronger sense of connection. I welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences, providing a safe, affirming space where you can feel truly seen and understood.

Services

Assessment

We will begin with an initial online assessment session. This 50-minute space helps us explore what’s bringing you to therapy, your background, and what kind of support might be most helpful. Extended 90-minute assessments are also available if needed.

At the end of the session, I’ll offer verbal feedback and recommendations. If therapy with me isn’t the right fit, I’ll suggest alternative options. Written reports can be provided for an additional fee.

Remote therapy

All sessions are held online via a secure video platform, offering flexibility, comfort, and easy access. Therapy sessions are 50 minutes long and typically held weekly, with the option for fortnightly meetings based on your preference. Delivered online, my approach combines evidence-based methods like Narrative Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). We regularly review progress to keep therapy aligned with your goals, ensuring you only continue as long as it’s helpful.
